Arctic Express

(Tuesday, January 13, 2009) – At the time of writing it’s 24º.  Twenty-four hours from now it will be nearly as cold but we’ll likely not get this “warm” all day on Thursday.  The image below shows the location of the clipper system that will escort the arctic blast into our area.  By 6 pm Wednesday, the clipper will be located in Ohio and the arctic front will already have cleared West Tennessee.   Memphis NWS very aggressive with the cold temperatures and so they should.  Here is a sampling of the forecasted highs Thursday and lows Thursday night around West TN:
