A Quiet Weekend, Turning Colder Sunday

9:45am – Nice day underway across Jackson and West Tennessee and certainly aiding in the long process of clean-up efforts in the wake of Tuesday’s devastating tornadoes.

Under sunshine today highs will around 57º.  An arctic cold front will surge through the area tonight.  Although we don’t get the full brunt of the cold air, it will knock the feet out from under temperatures.  I think highs Sunday will be closer to 40º rather than 45º.   It will be brisk for worshippers Sunday morning.  Winds will average 15 mph and gust to 30 mph.  The winds will relax a bit in the afternoon.  This front arrives with few clouds and no precipitation.

Monday should be a good weather day.  Sunshine and moderating temperatures will prevail.  Highs will return to the 50s.

Monday Night, Tuesday and Tuesday Night we are influenced by a weather system that allows moisture to return and gives us showers and a few thunderstorms.  It doesn’t appear at this point there will be a risk of severe weather with this system.  If that changes we’ll let you know.

Wednesday and Thursday next week should involved only a few clouds and temperatures about average.

Friday and Saturday will be unsettled.  A chance of showers and maybe a thunderstorm or two on Friday.  Clouds and rain changes appear to hang around into Saturday.

Have a good weekend.
