A Wet Friday Morning…
6:30am – Weather system producing morning rains (and a couple of severe thunderstorm warnings this morning in McNairy and Decatur Counties) will exit the area this afternoon. High pressure prevails through much of the weekend. Not enough moisture expected Sunday to keep rain chances in the forecast so they’ve been dropped.
Polar cold front arrives late Monday bringing the coldest start to a new year in about six years (see previous post). Coldest temperatures will be Thursday morning as the high center perches right on top of us. One computer model gives us a low of 12º Thursday morning. I don’t think that number is out of the question! So we’ll see. We’ll go into a quick warm-up for next weekend.
